Yorkshire air ambulance has been scrambled after woman was been hit by a car in Stainforth this afternoon. The incident happened about 1.15pm outside the Asda store on Station Road in Stainforth.

Police are currently at the scene and the road is closed in both directions from East Lane. Unconfirmed reports on social media say police are dealing with a ‘hit and run incident’.  South Yorkshire Police have yet to confirm details of the incident.
